Head of Sponsorship, Europe

Our client, an international Gaming and Gambling operator, is recruiting a Head of Sponsorship.

You will be responsible for developing, managing and implementing Company’s sponsorship strategies and plans across all locations. You will also build and provide leadership on all aspects of sponsorships, as well as plan and secure new sponsorships and manage clubs, athletes and teams relations to achieve financial and market goals.

Additionally, you will conduct various sports marketing operations, from day-to-day routine collaboration with our partners up to strategic sponsorship decisions for our Group across all operating countries, always in line with the local marketing teams.



  • Develop and drive Sponsorships strategy for all operating countries, in liaison with local Country Managers and Marketing teams;
  • Create and manage high-level relationships with all key actual and potential company sponsorship assets and remain open to market opportunities and changes;
  • In charge of the Sponsorship budgeting process across all countries. Oversee budget implementation against targets;
  • Lead market research efforts to identify industry and market trends for the development of sponsorship strategies, along with BD and commercial teams.  Identify potential sponsors to determine sponsorship opportunities;
  • Review the development and presentation of sponsorship proposals to stakeholders;
  • Supervise negotiation of sponsorship agreements by Sponsorship managers and endorse terms and conditions;
  • Review current sponsored athletes, clubs etc. to strengthen their sponsorship portfolio;
  • Lead negotiation on extension of sponsorship agreements and guide the execution;
  • Develop and follow up on sponsorship strategies and key performance metrics;
  • Responsible for the relationship management of athletes, teams, key executives and lead resolution of unfulfilled deliverables of sponsorship agreements;
  • Manage department’s recruitment and retention efforts;
  • Review the development and presentation of sponsorship proposals to stakeholders;
  • Proactively create and maintain an annual activation and implementation plan/schedule for the existing sponsorship assets.


  • Extensive working experience in the Sports Marketing industry;
  • Experience in negotiating and managing significant commercial sponsorship/partner relationships;
  • Strong network within sports and sports rights community;
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the global sports environment;
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills: liaising with all levels of the wider business teams across the organization;
  • Esports industry knowledge in international level;
  • Data-driven mentality and confidence in business decisions based on performance data
  • Innovative thinking, creativity and fresh ideas;
  • Show team spirit while also being able to work independently on a project;
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Business;
  • Full professional proficiency in English language. Knowledge of German or Portuguese or Spanish will be considered as a plus;
  • Availability and willingness to travel and work on the event days.
